Everybody wants to look beautiful. It is not an easy task to maintain beautiful skin. The secret lies in protecting it from the outside and nourishing it from the inside. The market is flooded with an extensive range of skincare and beauty products that attracts millions of women everyday.  But great looking skin can be achieved with proper dietary intake and protection.

Protection from the environment

Beauty and fitness are interrelated. Thus, it is important to take care of your internal as well as external body in order to be fit. Vegetables and Fruits: Consuming 2-3 portions of vegetables and fruits in your daily diet gives you lots of nutrients for the skin.  They make the skin supple and help protect it from the external environment as well. Fruits like oranges, lemon, grapefruit, lime, and apricots are great sources of Vitamin C that keeps the skin nourished and maintains the collagen levels.  Carrots, spinach, nuts, seafood, wheat germ and olive oil are great sources of vitamins A, B, C ,E and zinc.

Fish: This is the best source of protein, collagen and elastin as well as omega 3 oils. They are essential to keep the skin supple and hydrated.

Anti-aging: Including loads of garlic in your diet maintains skin elasticity making it less prone to wrinkles. The skin around the eyes and neck shows signs of aging first. The skin is made up of connecting tissues and collagen. Thus, it is necessary to maintain the elasticity of the skin to prevent it from sagging.

The process of aging is accelerated by stress, prolonged exposure to sunlight, smoking and intake of an inadequate diet. It is necessary to expose the body to sunlight for the development of Vitamin D which is essential for the development of bones.

Exercising: It is essential to exercise on a regular basis in order to maintain beauty and fitness. This releases stress and keeps the body looking young. While exercising you tend to sweat and the clogged pores on the body are opened and toxins are released.
