Health and Physical Fitness in daily life
It is important to maintain a healthy lifestyle in order to bring about complete wellness. A fitness program based on regular exercise, a nutritious diet and adequate amount of relaxation is essential to enhance health and fight any ailments or diseases. Health and physical fitness go hand in hand. If you are both mentally and physically healthy, you are likely to live a longer and healthier life.

You could start by planning out a daily routine and timelines. You could join a professional fitness center or workout at home depending upon the availability of time, your daily schedule, work and family commitments etc. Before investing in any exercise plan, you must consult a physician and health expert who can guide you in an appropriate manner. You must also identify your body weight, body type and chalk out an adequate diet plan depending upon your daily caloric needs. You must also make a note of any ailments you might be suffering from such as asthma, obesity, heart disease, kidney infection, diabetes etc. This will enable your instructor to draw an exercise plan best suited to your needs. Your exercise plan can also help fight some of these ailments thereby making you fit.

Health and physical fitness should be adopted as a way of day to day life. There are a wide range of activities you can pick and choose from while deciding upon your fitness regime such as weight training, agility training, strength training, combination training etc. You could also opt for yoga, aerobics, dance, ballet or sport activities such as tennis, swimming, running, jogging, skipping, rope climbing, cycling etc. Any form of exercise is better than none.

Benefits of exercise: Exercise helps you keep fit and remain healthy. It increases metabolism and fights stress, helps shed extra fat and tones your body helping you look younger and well toned for a longer period of time.

Diet: This is one of the most essential parts of a healthy lifestyle. You must stop consuming junk food products and oily foods as they are extremely non-nutritious. You must include lots of fibers, proteins and carbohydrates in your diet depending upon the body’s needs. Consuming fresh fruits and vegetables provides the body with adequate amount of vitamins and minerals needed for growth and development and for protecting the body against various diseases. For instance, consuming oranges and lemons increases the intake of Vitamin C which is required to fight colds and flu.

Proteins rich diets enhance development and muscle growth whereas a high energy diet rich in carbohydrates helps one perform rigorous physical activity. A proper diet chart based on your body’s requirements must be drawn in order to enhance overall health. 

Water: The consumption of 8-10 glasses of water on a daily basis is necessary in order to enhance hydration. This helps flush out the harmful toxins from the body and enhance wellness. It also keeps the skin looking young and supple and helps the body get rid of any impurities.
Relaxation: This is one of the most crucial aspects of maintaining good health and physical fitness. It enhances the process of growth and development and relaxes the mind and rejuvenates the individual. If you exercise rigorously, the body will rebuild your tired muscles on its own while you are sleeping. Not taking adequate amount of rest leads to sleep related problems, causes irritation, lethargy and paves way to a sedentary lifestyle.

Along with sleep one must also focus on various techniques of relaxation such as yoga, meditation, listening to music, indulging in a leisure activity.  One can also go in for a body massage or holistic healing practices to enhance health and wellness. Going for a small walk after the meals or jogging in the park with a walkman can also help enhance health.

Health is wealth. Keeping fit and following a specific diet and exercise regime along with proper relaxation is necessary to keep you healthy and happier for a long period of time. One must focus on the overall aspects of health rather than just a couple of them. This will help keep you fit and enhance your performance in every sphere of life.
