The body undergoes a number of changes during a lifetime. It is important for one to understand the bodily systems to bring about good health.  The four components that need to be looked after in old age are cardio respiratory endurance, muscular strength, agility and endurance and body composition. The overall physiological capabilities of an individual are enhanced by following a strict exercise, diet and relaxation plan. Life fitness is all about maintaining good health in the later years if you invest at the right time.

The muscles, bones and brain of an individual work together. It is essential for one to pay equal attention to the various sensory nerves in order to stimulate them. If you are in a regular habit of exercising, chances are that it will go a long way to benefit you and keep you in good shape. In later years it becomes difficult for one to adapt to new techniques and workouts. Thus, it is essential for one to focus on life fitness and endurance training to help avail the benefits in later years.

The body tends to undergo a number of genetic, physical and hormonal changes in old age leading to the damage of cells and tissues. This needs to be controlled when you are young and have the capacity to fight. Consuming a healthy diet along with proper sleep helps enhance growth and development.

The body becomes prone to a wide range of ailments such as weakening of bones, coronary heart disease, cancers, eyesight etc. Adequate precautions need to be taken in younger years to help with anti aging techniques and reverse the process of aging.

  • A healthy diet is necessary to help during later years. You must consume a well balanced diet rich in proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals. Consuming processed foods and junk foods can be extremely harmful for the body. Include lots of fresh fruits, vegetables, fish cereals and baked beans in your daily diet. Consuming frozen foods and preserved food products is also harmful and gives rise to a number of diseases.
  • Do not consume too mush salt as this may result in high blood pressure. You must consume iodized salt from the sea as it is valued for its rich minerals.
  • Tranquilizers and caffeine should be moderated. Caffeine accelerates the process of aging and must be cut down upon in order to retain a youthful glow for a longer period of time.
  • Consumption nicotine and tobacco must be stopped as it is extremely harmful for the body. It causes cancer, heart and lung diseases resulting in irreparable damage.
  • Maintain a regular training program as it will enhance your health in old age. Take regular guidance related to life fitness from your health instructor.
  • Consume adequate amount of water. It is necessary to drink 8-10 glasses of water on a daily basis as this enhances hydration and keeps the skin looking supple. It also flushes out the harmful toxins from the system making you healthier.
  • Adding a few food supplements to your diet is necessary in order to enhance the consumption of a well balanced diet. But you must consult a physician and dietitian before doing this. You must keep your body, weight, dietary intake and medical condition in mind before consuming any fitness products.
  • Exposure of the skin to the harmful ultra violet rays of the sun results in irreparable damage and can also lead to skin cancer. Application of sun screen lotions while stepping out can slow the process of aging.  Also, consuming garlic and amino acids rich diets help in increasing skin elasticity, thereby keeping the skin wrinkle free for a longer period of time.
