A sound and stress free sleep may be a step ahead of improving the fitness as well as losing the extra pounds, acclaims a report on sleep research conducted at the Department of Physical Education and Training at Shanxi Agricultural University, China.

Muscles repair themselves while we are fast asleep
A tension less sleep of 7-8 hours at night improves the muscle recovery period and helps regaining muscle structure as well as ameliorating the muscular wear and tear.
