Abdominal Exercises with Medicine Ball
Medicinal balls, which are also known as Swiss balls, are an excellent means of improving fitness.Utility of medicine balls have already been discussed in another article in our blog. Swiss balls or medicinal balls could be effectively employed for a number of fitness exercises. In the present article, we would evaluate the utilization of the medicinal balls to build the abdominal muscles as well as to enhance the performance of fat loss programs.
Seated twist ab crunches for muscle strengthening
In order to perform the seated twist, it is very important to select a properly flat surface to perform this exercise. How to perform seated crunch with medicine ball?

Increasing the intensity and number of reps required
This exercise is effective if performed for 6-8 minutes. In case after making reps for this time period, if a feeling of being used to arises than you should increase the difficulty level of this exercise. To increase the intensity, you may certainly try and lift either foot on the opposite side in air while continuously attempting to touch the floor on the opposite side. Further, an isometric ab exercise could be an added advantage to enhance the effectiveness of ab crunches.
Isometric ab muscle tightening
A very simple way to exercise the abs is by tightening the ab muscles through exhaling and then a hold on to this posture for 15-20 seconds. Making 5-10 reps a day are effective. It is important that you continue breathing past the ab hold to ensure more benefits.
