Avoiding Skin Stretch Marks Due To Weight Loss

Stretch marks! the thought of these ugly and unwanted skin marks make you feel so jittery and frightened, but there is nothing to fear about, if you follow certain simple precautions, and do some recommended exercises apart from your routine workouts, you have every chance of avoiding the problem. Let us first try to understand the cause of stretch marks and their etiology.

What are stretch marks?

Stretch marks are an adaptation measure of the skin, which occurs when the skin is stretched initially as in case of pregnancy, obesity etc. and then it shrinks back again for e. g. after delivery or due to excessive weight loss and slimming. The skin then does not regain its previous shape, but forms scales or loose hangings which are termed as stretch marks. Stretch marks are initially reddish in color, and gradually they gain the skin texture with a glossiness which makes them appear different from the normal skin. Stretch marks are one of the most unwanted things that a bodybuilder or a weight trainee wants, althoug they seem inevitable, but there are possibilities of minimizing their occurrence by following a few advices.

Dietary measures to avoid stretch marks

Appropriate hydration of skin maintains its stretching ability and elasticity, which helps to regain the shape even past excessive stretches due to various reasons mentioned previously. Drink a lot of water, not only helps to detoxify the body, it also helps in revitalizing the skin and improves flexibility of the skin cells to adapt to stretching and relaxing. Another important supplementation would be a diet rich in Vitamins especially Vitamin A and C, these two are considered as vital for improving skin tone and quality as well as reducing the probability of stretch marks. Few aerobic exercises, just for a few minutes per day are also recommended for improving the conditions of stretch marks.

Apart from various surgical treatments available, there are also probabilities of using cosmetic supplementation, specially substances like Aloe vera gel which have a very positive effect on improving the skin tone and reduction of marks.

    Ya!! I strongly obey that the stretch marks will come with the stretch of the skin especially at the time of pregnancy, also at the time of teen age to young and also at the atmospheric conditions. And this all can be over come by following precautions and tips with regular exercise to the body, by the regular exercise stretching of body can be over come and finally stretch marks can be stopped……..
