Beat Stress with Exercise
Stress has become a common word in today’s hectic life. Usually the symptoms of stress are unidentifiable and are confused with some serious body ailment. The most common symptoms of stress are frequent headache, palpitation in heart, troubled sleep disturbed with nightmares. However, symptoms can be more severe corresponding to the stress level of an individual. Experience of any of the following symptoms recurrently points out towards the increased stress level.
-Muscle or back pain
-Breathlessness, giddiness or weakness
-Diarrhea, upset stomach or abdominal tightness
-Rashes on skin and sore skin
Usually yoga or meditation is prescribed for reducing the stress level in an individual. However, the benefits of exercise to beat stress are less known. Exercise puts body in relax state and decreases the stress level. Moreover consumption of vitamins also helps the body in fighting with stress.
Intake of Vitamin C helps people who are under constant stress. 400mg to 500mg consumption of vitamin C keeps the stress low. B complex vitamins are also known to combat the higher stress level. Their deficiency also leads to stress in a person.
Apart from exercise, few other tips can be followed to beat the stress. Gardening is known to relax mind and rejuvenates the senses. Try incorporating thirty minutes of gardening in daily schedule to keep the stress at minimum. Meditation should also be practiced to avoid the building tension resultant of day to day activities.
Anxiety should always be kept at the minimum as it contributes to stress building. Swimming or any other sports should be practiced to release the tension created in the body. Long bath also relaxes the mind and body.
Even after following the above tips, if you still feel you are under the effect of stress, please consult your doctor as in some cases, medication to reduce stress is required.
