Blueberries May Help You Loose Weight

In the modern world, obesity is one of the largest health problems. Obesity and excessive weight leads to variety of physiological and psychological problems. As a result of the increasing number of obese and fat people, there is a resurgence in the scientific arena, looking out for dietary supplement to improve fitness as well as to improvise the gains from weight loss programs.

It is a recognized fact that apart from the appropriate weight loss training there is also a need to consume appropriate nutritious fruits to gain more on losing weight. Blue berries are a very popular fruit ingredient for the dietary reduction of obesity.

Blue berries are useful in reducing food craving and weight

In a recent research conducted on furred mice at the research centers in America as well as New Zealand, it was revealed that consumption of blue berries may reduce by up to 10% the gain in body weight. This figure is significant, and could hold a lot of potential for the improvement of weight loss programs. Although, the researchers are not certain about the mechanism by which blueberries act still, they are united on the fact that blue berries do help to reduce weight.

Another important feature of blueberries are their antioxidant compounds, these help in detoxification and improvement of skin tone. Blueberries have also been found to reduce the occurrence of stretch marks past body weight reduction.

According to another report on the research conducted at USDA, Arkansas, the anthocyanins from blue berry extract are more effective compared to blue berry whole fruit when consumed. The main mode of action of blue berries lies in their satiating effect on the body, which is therefore useful in reducing craving for food.

In totality, it could be mentioned that blue berries could be an effective means of improving the weight loss and further research is warranted to determine the exact mechanism by which they act on the body.
