Physical fitness is now more or less a matter of national concern. We live in a labor saving and mechanized society. Due to reduced physical labour, the effects of sedentary lifestyle can be seen in the people which necessitates the need to maintain physical fitness.The human body is similar to a machine, if mistreated, not properly maintained, the machine will malfunction and cease to run efficiently.

Our bodies are similar as of machine, improper maintenance foster deterioration of the numerous physiological and physical systems within the body. So efforts have to be made in order to maintain one’s physical fitness and in order to live a healthy life.

Fitness Tips

Don’t live a monotonous routine; it has an adverse affect on the health. Change your routine at least once in a three week. This will help you to keep your muscles progressing.

Go for simple walking or brisk walking without failing, early in the morning. This will help you in relieving stress or tension and makes you feel fresh and provide peace to your mind.

Exercises for increasing stamina and enhancing strength, which will help you to work for long hours. Work your calves by running up and down the stairs for more stamina and better calves.

For improving your coordination and foot work do rope skipping. Do it in intervals of one minute skipping, 30 seconds rest, with six to seven repetitions.

If you want to build strength, go for weightlifting but should be done under the supervision of a coach or a trainer. Keep your workout under two hours; overwork can lead to injury or fatigue.

Get a massage or swim once a week. Don’t exercise for less than 30 minutes at a session.

Eat six small meals a day combining carbs, lots of proteins, fibres and a bit of fat. Stay away from ghee, maida and sugar. Drink lots of water as it washes out toxins from our body.

Exercise a minimum four days per week. Meditation and yoga at least twice a week. It’ll help you to calm yourself and establish a body mind connection.

Push-ups and sit-ups are the two best exercises to maintain physical fitness. Stretching should be first and last workout move.

Your muscles need to recover fully in order to perform their best, so get one day of full rest per week.
