With deadlines and expectations on our head, we hardly get time to exercise. Losing weight is one of the issues that we face with so many burdens on us. Exercise is not the only solution to lose weight. We can lose weight by selecting right type of food also, which is less caloric and also lessen your hunger craving. Basically these foods are known as negative-calorie foods, as they require more calories to get digested than they actually have. This results in burning of more calorie than we consume and thus helps in losing weight.
Foods to help you lose weight
Salad- Starts with low-calorie salad which will help you in losing weight. Fix yourself a salad made of tomato, carrot, cabbage, beetroot, capsicum, lettuce or cucumber. You can have sandwich also, made from these ingredients. Bread will satisfy your hunger.
High fiber cereals- Consume chapattis, roasted corn on the cob, dhokla or idlis, and white rice upmas, oats, poha, or rice wheat-or- corn-flakes low in sugar’.
Green Tea- Make it a routine to drink green tea as an antioxidant called catechins in green tea, increase metabolism and also fat burning. It also lowers the LDL (bad) cholesterol.
Olive oil- tries using olive oil for food preparation. It will help in burning calories.
Grapefruit- In contain photochemical that reduces insulin levels. You can drop more than three pounds over 12 weeks if you consume half a grapefruit before each meal or drink a serving of the juice three times a day.
Red pepper- Red pepper contains capsaicin, which helps suppressing appetite. Thus, eating it helps you in losing weight.
Water- Water is great filler with no calories. You can also have low-calories drink like buttermilk, watermelon juice and coconut water and clear dal or vegetable soups.
Eggs- try to have eggs in the breakfast as they are full of proteins and make you feel fuller for a long time.
Along with these healthy foods, studies have shown that cinnamon, vinegar, tofu, pears, lean beef, curd, oranges and air popped popcorn also help in losing weight .Yes, these foods can definitely help you in losing weight. But doing exercise is also very important for health and fitness.
