Healthy Diet for Weight Trainers

The main aims of a healthy diet for any fitness freak or a weight trainer are, to reduce their fat and sugar intake. In simple terms, a healthy diet to improve fitness as well as to let down the extra fat means cutting down on stuffs like fried foods, cream, butter, red meat, chocolate, cakes, biscuits, pastries, sweetened fruit juices, aerated drinks and excessive amount of sweets.
On the contrary, a healthy diet composition would involve an increase in all the foods, which are very low in fat, rich in nutraceutical carbohydrates (not sweets), protein and fibre. A healthy diet may comprise of chicken (without the excessive stuffing or frying), oily fish, milk, fresh fruit, vegetables, beans, brown rice, wholemeal bread etc.

Carbohydrates are the body’s first choice fuel, needed for the essential energy of a training session and everyday living. A rich source of carbohydrates include fruits, pasta, baked potatoes, wheat bread, rice. Amongst different fruits, bananas and mangoes are rich in instantly available carbohydrate energy.
Fibres to assist in proper digestion and motility
Consumption of an appropriate amount of fibres is very essential in every diet may it be for weight trainers or otherwise. Fibres are highly beneficial for the overall health as well as for improving the intestinal motility. They also help to improve the water retention of the body hence, reducing the craving for food resulting in a better effect of weight loss therapy as well.
