Eating junk food, is not only likely to cause disease and shorten life span, but it is also responsible for decreasing the quality of life by decreasing energy, mental focus, and happiness. As an example, consumption of cold drinks, sugar added beverages, toasted bagels, french fries are almost as costly to your health and life quality, as a nicotine product. In an interesting scientific revelation on people consuming junk foods, it was illustrated that the chances of a reduced focus and lack of concentration is most commonly encountered in case of people who are more interested in consuming junk food rather than a whole green diet.

Taste matters and health benefits

A very interesting survey conducted in India in 2007, by a leading health food manufacturing organization revealed that, people fear the lack of taste in the so called health food and therefore stick to their unhealthy, fat rich diet. This is a pure misconception that health food cannot taste yummy. Health variants of a cheese burger

An interesting recipe for positive health effect would be an eggplant cheese burger. To proceed, cut the egg plant slices, sprinkle some salt and allow the liquid to ooze out, rinse out the salt and pat dry, beat the eggs in a pan and dip the dried egg plant slices in egg, stir fry in coconut oil for 3-4 minutes. Use tomato toppings and coriander etc. for garnishing. Place the slices in between a burger and eat when mildly hot. Believe it the taste is amazing and the calories are very low as well.
