It is a very common perception among people that the swimming is a most effective way to reduce obesity. As per the researches done by the health experts, it is revealed that not every stroke or movements in swimming can be accredited as weight loss techniques.For people keen to lose weight via adoption of natural techniques like swimming, it is very necessary to gain adequate knowledge of strokes, movements and other guidelines prior to entering in a pool. Below given recommendations provide a brief knowledge on how to use swimming in an effectual way to loose weight naturally.

It is very necessary to obtain formal training prior to swimming as several studies have illustrated that smooth and natural swimming movement in water burn more calories as compared to the amateurish swimmers, who made very hard efforts in stroke resulting in rapid loosening of strength.

It is advised to regularly switch stroke style between continuous laps to preserve strength and low the heart rate, which further assists in burning of fat more efficiently.  Breaststroke and backstroke are acknowledged by several health experts as the most appropriate weight loss swimming techniques.

For beginners, it is recommended to advance gradually and plan a routine under supervision of a professional trainer. It is best to start with 2-3 sessions of sixty minutes per week and slowly increase the sessions up to 5-6 per week.  It is necessary to take a break of at least 5 minutes post completion of 3-4 laps.

Avoid consumption of foods and drinks containing sweeteners or high fats after swimming sessions. Swimming sessions increase appetite and elevates the risk of increased consumption of calories. It is advised to consult a dietitian prior to planning a diet.

It is advised to include natural foods and health supplements in daily diet to increase the metabolism rate and fulfill the deficiency of glycogen and other nutrients. Swimming requires consistent supply of energy, making it necessary to consume adequate minerals and nutrition. The increased metabolism rate assists in fast burning of stored calories.

Although, swimming is a very effective way to loose weight in a natural way but diet following the sessions and pre-sessions is also of same importance. It is highly recommended for people with asthma, bronchitis etc to consult a regular medical practitioner prior to commencing any aquatic exercises or activities.
