Is Overtraining Safe for Bodybuilders

The most usual issue that every bodybuilder encounters with during the tenure of bodybuilding is, over training. The word over training refers towards a situation when a bodybuilder reaches to the utmost point of training where the workload exceeds the recovery capacity of body. The root causes of over training are inadequate supply of recovery time for body between sessions, deficiency of nutrition, reduced time of night sleep and elevated training periods. Unremitting training involving high strengths, stimulates core nervous system leading to a condition of hyper adrenergic that is known as a cause for disturbances in sleep patterns.
It is evident that the syndrome of over training leads towards a decreased performance. Some of the early symptoms of over training are insomnia, continuous headache, muscle pain, fatigue, depression, lack of energy and sudden diminution in recital.
The health system of human body generates free radicals recurrently which further reacts with stable molecules to origin cell damage. In normal conditions, body generates free radicals at a very low rate which are counterbalanced by the antioxidant’s present in body but owing to the excessive trainings these free radicals are produced at a much larger rate surpassing the capacity of cells defense system. The cellular damage usually leads to severe diseases like cancer, premature aging and damaged immune system.
To avert the unintentional over training, it is essential to balance the heavy training sessions with an equivalent proportion of recovery time. Provisioning body with adequate rest time is of much essence for a body builder indulged in heavy back and other exercises due to the fact that training sessions are meant for stimulating the growth of muscles but muscles gain mass only in relaxed condition.
Over training for a bodybuilder in no way can be considered as a safe overnight technique to attain a physique like a pro bodybuilder. It is highly recommended that one should gain proper knowledge prior to opting for bodybuilding together with strong determination that there are no shortcuts towards achieving an attractive physique.
