Leg is the most important part of your body, and if you don’t do proper legs exercise then you can never achieve a proportioned body. Here are few leg exercises which will make your legs more strong and beautiful.
1. Leg presses: It is one of the best exercises to build thigh muscle. Leg presses are two types: Diagonal or vertical sled type leg press and seated leg press.
Put yourself under the machine and sit upright. Put your feet together and placed against the crosspiece. Now allow the weight to lower until your knees are properly bent. Extend your legs and press the weight back.
Go as heavy as possible and move only your legs.
2. Leg Curls: If you want to build your back thigh muscle then leg curls is perfect exercise for you.
Lie on a leg curls machine and extend your legs straight. Put your legs under the support pads and curl your legs as far as possible until they are fully contracted. Now lower the weight and go back to the starting position.
Hold the handles to prevent yourself from lifting off the bench. Avoid jerky movement and go full range.
3. Squats exercise: Squats is very good exercise for you to build your thigh muscle bigger and stronger.
Put barbell rests across the back of your shoulders. Bend your knees with your straight back and head up until your thighs are parallel to the ground. Keep your back straight and use only your thigh power to raise yourself up until legs are nearly locked out.
Do squats with full range of motion and make sure hips are below your knees. Warm up well before heavy squats.
4. Barbell lunges exercise: It is good your thigh and butt muscle.
Stand upright and hold a barbell behind your neck. Bend your knees and take a step forward as close as possible to the floor while keep your back straight. Now back to the starting position and repeat with your other leg.
You can also try dumbbell squats, dumbbell lunges and hamstring exercises for routine change.
