Skipping rope has been one of the oldest exercise apparatus or equipment for the past centuries, apart from being a part of the fun that we share as young kids, skipping rope are also a vital piece of equipment for maintaining health and fitness.

Skipping rope and health benefits

Skipping has been associated with a number of advantages and health benefits. In a report published by the British Rope skipping association, it was elucidated that rope skipping could be highly beneficial in improving the heart rate and improve the blood flow, promote fat loss, improve flexibility, co-ordination and balance. Apart from these illustrated features, the skipping exercises are also considered beneficial in improving the muscle tone of thigh, buttock and calf muscles. The results of some researches carried out on subjects involved on skipping exercise schedule, showed that they have a better bone density compared to other fitness trainers, the reason behind this is that skipping is a high impact exercise, and this fast action would lead to a greater effectiveness.

Skipping and body weight loss

There are proven evidences that skipping rope exercise has a lot of potential to improve weight loss in case of people with more body weight and obesity. The action that skipping does is mutlifaceted, first of all it increases the calories loss, it helps in providing flexibility to the body, there are greater chances of improving total heart rate which ensures proper blood flow and removal of toxins from the body. Skipping also makes sure that you gain maximum from all the other weight loss programs that you are involved in.

Finally, skipping is one of the cheapest yet effective exercise forms to stay fit and improve bodily performance apart from loosing unwanted body weight.
