Apart from training there are a few other misconceptions about body building, a few amongst which have been addressed in this article, and we would be continuously throwing some light on many more in the upcoming articles.

Is it necessary to bulk your body to gain muscles?

Amongst one of the most prominent existing myths about bodybuilding is the concept of bulking up to gain muscles. It was a misconception till the late 70’s in the 20th century that there is a need of putting on an extra amount of weight to get the bodybuilding techniques work better and in favor. It has now been proved that it is not at all necessary to bulk up or gain the additional pounds to have those cosmic muscles.

The extra fat that accompanies with the additional weight leads to a prominently higher amount to be lost in your work outs, which necessarily does not mean lean mass. Although, an advantage from the additional body mass is the fact that it helps you in energizing and fulfilling your extra bodily demands in case you are working out hard at the gym, prevents muscle wear and muscle loss as well in this instance.

The outcome of the scientific research so far

It is very clear from the insightful research carried out so far that a high body weight is not a assured signal for gaining highly muscular body, nor does a higher weight support more muscular bodily structure. Therefore, it would be advisable to ensure a nutritional diet and restore all the nutrient levels along with a heavy and smart work out schedule to gain the maximum muscular body.
