If you won’t take a proper diet then you will suffer from nutritional deficiencies of vitamins. In that situation, supplements and herbs play an important role in maintaining good health.
Different kind of vitamins and nutritional supplements:
1. Vitamin C: It is an essential vitamin for your body to form collagen in bones, muscle and blood vessel, which is important for sports and fitness person to prevent any kind of injury. You will get vitamin C from fruits and vegetables, especially citrus fruits like oranges, lemon etc.
2. Calcium: Calcium is the most abundant mineral in the human body. Sports person need blood vessel constriction and relaxation, high number of hormones and enzymes. A good level of calcium is maintained in the fluid and tissues in your body, so that during weight training your body functions efficiently. It will also prevent you from having muscle cramps, bone loss and fractures. The good sources of calcium are canned salmon, green leafy vegetables, sardines etc.
3. Vitamin B12: It is the good vitamin for the body to maintain perfect health. B12 is the energy booster for the body, many bodybuilders and athletics use this supplement before workouts. For an overweight person, it is the natural fat burner and turn carbohydrate, proteins and fats into energy. It will remove fatigue, weakness and depression from your body. You can easily get this vitamin from man made supplements or natural products like meats, eggs and milk dairy product.
4. Zinc: Zinc is important for the maturation of sperm and normal body development. It is very effective to boost the immune system and give speedy recovery between workouts. Zinc helps prevent viral infection and other illness, so that you can’t miss your valuable workout time. If you don’t include proper zinc supplement in your diet then it will effect your muscle mass and strength negatively.
Other supplements and vitamins: coenzyme Q10, creatine, vitamin E and D, magnesium, whey protein and methoxyisoflayone.
