Tips to Successful Teen Bodybuilding

Teen body building are becoming more and more common. And why not? Getting ripped is a great way to improve your self-esteem, get the respect of your peers, attract the girls (a big motivator for most teenage guys) and give you a healthy interest. It’s also a good way to find an older man to mentor you in more than just body building. And besides, if you’re considering a career that involves a lot of muscular strength, having a good set of muscles will count in your favour at the interview and help you in your job. I’m not just talking pro bodybuilding or sport as a career, either. Military, police, firefighting, construction, forestry, security and agriculture are all career areas where the muscular strength and mental discipline developed by teen body building will all be a real asset (and even if you want to be a teacher, body building can help.Teen bodybuilding tips:
1. Check with your doctor before starting any new exercise program, especially if you are overweight, have high blood pressure, or have any other medical conditions.
2. Be realistic with your training. Don’t start out to hard; make a program that you can keep on a regular basis. It’s better to start out at three 45-60 minute sessions a week than to start by training two hours a day.
3. Start training your cardiovascular system. Run, swim, bike, etc. at least three times a week and work up to at least 30 minutes or more per session to condition your heart and lungs
Focus On Clean Eating
Old habits die hard. Believe it or not, the nutrition habits you are creating today will affect you all the way into your adult years. As a young teen bodybuilder, you have an opportunity to create good habits at an early age. Focus on eating clean carbohyrdates like whole wheat breads, oatmeal, brown rice, potatoes, fruits and veggies. Focusing on eating a variety of clean proteins like tuna, chicken, fish, cottage cheese and protein shakes. Balance out your meals with clean fats like olive oil, fish oil, natural peanut butter and nuts. Take pride in the fact that you even know what clean eating is. Look at this as an opportunity to be an example to your friends to be walking statue of health! I promise you that you will have a few friends who admire your physique and ask you for advice!
Stick to Basic Supplements
Your a teenager and should be saving your money for college and your first car. Don’t get scammed by over hyped supplement ads that promise the world. Follow the saying, ‘If it looks too good to be true, than most likely it is!” All you need to budget for now is a high quality multi-vitamin which you should take for life as well as a high quality protein powder in your arsenal and a regular omega-3 fish oil cap. Between these three supplements you are more than covered. Don’t worry about creatine, glutamine, fat burners, testosterone boosters or even NO2 products. The first three to four years of your lifting should be done with just the basic supplements.
