Ever wondered that a carefully taken glass of water before and after meals, could be a wonderful remedy to reduce the diet as well as to enhance the efficacy of weight loss program. In our previous article on drinking water to improve weight loss, we demonstrated how water consumption assists in enhancing weight loss potential. In this article we will focus on the ways water must be consumed and the usefulness of drinking water before and after meals.
A glass of water before starting the day
It is always advisable to drink a glass of water as soon as you get up in the morning. This could be a very effective way to start your day, this also ensures that you need a lesser quantity of breakfast to begin the day. The acidic environment of the stomach is also effectively counteracted and the overnight metabolic toxins are flushed out as well. Following a glass of drinking water a cup of tea is appreciable as well.
A glass of water before the lunch or dinner.
A glass of water before you start the meal makes you feel fuller without even having a bite of food. This helps to reduce the hunger and naturally a lesser consumption of food ensures a better energy balance for the body.
One to two glasses of water during and after the meal
Although dieticians and experts have contradictory agreements on having water during meal, still in the light of available evidences, it is always better to have another glass of water while you are having the meal. This again is a way of making yourself feel satiated and full. In totality, it helps you feel full without having to consume that extra amount of food.
Advices on water therapy
The quantity of water that can be gulped in, varies from person to person, although it is always good to take sips rather than taking the whole quantity in a gulp. It is also better to make a balance amongst food and water intake for long term benefits.
