Yogurt Is Helpful In Loosing Body Weight

Not many of us are aware about the fact, that a simple daily food ingredient like yogurt could turn out to be a wonderful life saver when it comes down to loosing body weight. While yogurt is a very important pro biotic component i.e. it has beneficial bacteria that are helpful in improving the digestive functions of the body, these bacteria are also known to improve the lipase activity, which is very importantly involved in the breakdown of fats and fatty acids in the body.

In a recent study, published in the International Journal of obesity the importance of iso-caloric diet i.e. diet having just the optimum amount of calories incorporating yogurt, was found to have a greater impact on improving weight loss. The study was conducted at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and according to the results of their trial conducted for 12-week the investigators speculated that the yogurt could be an important component for resulting in weight loss efficacy of the dietary regimen.
The authors also concluded that substitution of yogurt for other food component could significantly enhance fat loss and reduce central adiposity during energy restriction. According to the researchers these data add to the available scientific information that support a role for dietary calcium and dairy foods in controlling excess adiposity which is a major cause of obesity.
In general, it can be concluded that the food components like yogurt need to be utilized in regular diet and could be highly beneficial in improving the health as well as reducing obesity.
